Hurricane Katrina slammed into the coast of Louisiana on August 29, 2005, causing the collapse of the New Orleans levee system. First United Baptist Church was soon under 8ft 9inches of floodwaters. The church building was home to many, many diverse ministries that reached the peoples and cultures of New Orleans with the love and good news of Jesus Christ. The ministries have been displaced, the people scattered and the staff overwhelmed. The neighborhood is returning and in need of loving, caring, helpful Christian ministries. Workers and Contributors of Restorers United are called to rebuild His people and His church...First United Baptist Church of New Orleans.
***************** First United Baptist Church of New Orleans "Enter to Worship... Depart to Serve!"
